Howlett, Charles E. (Charles Edward), 1897-1973

Born in 1897 in Melbourne, Mr. Howlett studied law at Melbourne University, but spent his life teaching. Travelled overseas as an English teacher on migrant ships. Ten years after the establishment of the city of Melbourne, Melbourne Church of England Grammar School opened in 1858 with a grant by the Colonial Government of 15 acres in St Kilda Road.
